If you are not worried about unauthorized use of your ontarioeast.net Internet account, you can enable the "Save Password" feature which will cause the dialer to remember your password, saving you from typing it in every time you wish to connect. |
NOTE: You will need your Windows 95 CD-ROM, Diskettes, or equivalent on hard drive for this procedure. |
From the "Start" button to the "Settings" menu, select "Control Panel" and double-click the Network icon. Your window should look similar to the one pictured below. |

The component you require for saving the password is "Client for Microsoft Networks". If you do not have it, click the "Add..." button. Double-click on "Clients". The manufacturer is Microsoft, and the client is "Client for Microsoft Networks". Click on OK, and then OK once again. |
Note: If it does ask for Identification, click on the Identification tab similar to the one pictured above, and type your name under "Computer Name". |
The computer will then ask to install files from the CD-ROM or diskettes, then
will reboot. Please let it do so. The next time you go to connect to 1000island.net, a box under the password field will be empty; please place a checkmark there. The second time you connect to 1000island.net, you will not have to enter a password! |
